Last week we went to my sister’s house to hang out and pick some fruit. As I was looking through the photos I took that evening, I felt a sense of peace. Our lives right now are go, go, go. Eddie’s in school and working. Noah and Emma are in elementary school which is filled with homework and plays and parties. Layla is in preschool and on a completely different schedule than her brother and sister. I’m working two jobs and trying to manage a home. Sometimes it just feels like there is no rest. No peace. But then I saw this picture and I was reminded how important it is to stop and smell the roses. It’s so important to just stop sometimes. To take a break and just breathe. To climb trees and then jump out of them. To pick some fruit and then sit and enjoy its sweetness. To literally smell the roses.
