Last week while I was shooting another adoption session, Eddie was working with the Lawson Family. They had their courtroom session and then followed that up with a little mini session at a park. Here is a bit of their adoption story: My husband and I have been married now for almost 12 years and early on in our marriage we always knew we wanted to have kids but we never thought it would be so hard for us. When we found out we were having fertility issues, I personally felt like I had failed as a woman and a wife. After years of struggling through infertility issues, my husband and I decided we wanted to adopt. We had gone through the process of getting licensed by the state, and now all we had to do was wait. Since my husband and I felt past disappointments we started 2015 surrendered that maybe God had another plan for us, which included not being parents. Low and behold a few days after Valentine’s day we got a call about a 9 day old baby boy. So a few days after Valentine’s day, we took home our baby boy, Logan. For so long I had longed to be a mom, and my “labor pains” were over. This past year has been an amazing experience and we wouldn’t change any part of our story, because we wouldn’t have our son in our lives if anything were different. We are so grateful to the family and friends that supported and loved us and had faith when we lacked it. I love seeing the world though my son’s eyes and I’m so grateful that I can be apart of his story.
