Every year in December I take a good long look at my business. I figure out what worked and what didn’t, and then I make tweaks for the coming year. While it can be hard to look back and be reminded of past failures, it’s also encouraging to see where the business has grown. And I’m a planner and a dreamer, so I love dreaming about where the business can go and figuring out how to make those dreams come true. Normally, the changes I make in the business are small or behind the scenes or are surprises for clients so I don’t announce them, but this year there are a couple of changes that I’m really excited about and wanted to share.

The first one is about Mini Sessions. In the past, I’ve only done mini sessions once a year, but I am now offering them at any time! These sessions are perfect for new families who have never had professional portraits done and want a little taste of what it’s like, or if you have a little one (or two) who aren’t sure they can last for a two hour session. These sessions are also great for head shots. Make plans to book your mini session, or tell a friend who might love one!

The second new opportunity I wanted to share are Memory Books. I’m still offering my luxe albums (which are beautiful and great legacy pieces to share with generations to come), but I also wanted to provide something that is less pricey so that your kids can look through them on a regular basis that you aren’t afraid of them ruining. It’s something that we have in our house that we love (you can read more about ours here) and I wanted to provide my clients with the same experience. So starting in 2016 you can order a luxe album for you and a Memory Book for your kids!
