specializes in authentic portraits. Whether you are expecting your first child, chasing around a handful of kids, expanding your family through the gift of adoption, or a senior graduating high school I love capturing your genuine moments. I believe that love makes a family and photographing the beauty of family, and the story of your growing family is an honor. As a mother myself, I photograph families with an understanding of what a blessing having children truly is. My job is not to simply take photos of your family, it’s to help tell the story of your family with images and albums that your children and grandchildren will look through for years to come. That is why I believe in capturing real moments. Those perfectly imperfect moments that make your family truly unique. The ones that create a heritage and a legacy every time you look at them.
My husband and I met on a blind date at Disneyland. A year later we were getting married. Over the past 13+ years we've had three kids, moved across the country twice, survived seminary, and experienced all the ups and downs life brings.
I've been passionate about adoption for most of my life and in 2010 we traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo to pick up our youngest daughter. Adoption has taught me more about love and loss and joy and pain than any other experience in my life.
Impromptu dance parties are a regular thing in our home. If there's a dance show on tv, we're likely watching it. And when I get the chance to photograph a dancer, I'm in heaven!
Most often I am drinking water, but my second favorite drink of choice is most definitely wine! I even have a night of the week dedicated to drinking wine with my friends, Wednesday Wine Night! Feel free to join me in making this a thing!

Adoption sessions are very near to my heart. In 2010 my lifelong dream of adopting came true and we brought home our beautiful daughter from the Democratic Republic of Congo. When we first came home with her, I was so anxious to replace the photos of our family of four on our wall with our new family of five. I know many adoptive families feel the same way, and that is why Adoption Story portraits are some of my favorites. I also love capturing that first moment a family meets, no matter if it's in a hospital, an airport, an office, or another country. Contact me for more info on my adoption photography services.
