A couple months ago Eddie and I were talking about the business and where I wanted it to go. I love doing the limited number of weddings I do, but I realized that my ideal weddings were small, intimate weddings and elopements. With Eddie graduating soon and not knowing exactly where we will be living in the next few months, I’m not really in a place to make any big changes to the business by booking new weddings. But then I got an email from Mary Ellen who was getting married in a few weeks and her wedding was exactly what I had described to Eddie! I was so excited to document Mary Ellen and Chris’s day and it ended up being even more than I could have hoped for! Mary Ellen wore a gorgeous dress from BHLDN and they got married overlooking the ocean at Geoffrey’s in Malibu surrounded by their family, some of whom traveled traveled from the East Coast and Hawaii, in a gorgeous and heartfelt ceremony. The ceremony began with Mary Ellen and Chris introducing each person at the wedding, giving then a lei and telling the group why they were important to them. It was so beautiful. They then shared meaningful vows and became husband and wife.
